Make the Ferry (maketheferry.app) provides estimated ferry space availability predictions for Washington State Ferries routes. The service combines publicly available WSDOT data, historical patterns, and traffic information to generate predictions. Make the Ferry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Washington State Ferries or the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
All predictions, estimates, and space availability data are approximations and should not be relied upon as guaranteed outcomes. Ferry space availability changes rapidly and predictions may be inaccurate. Factors including weather, mechanical issues, schedule changes, and special events can affect actual conditions. You are solely responsible for your travel decisions. Make the Ferry is not liable for missed ferries, travel delays, or any damages resulting from reliance on the information provided.
Space availability data originates from WSDOT's publicly available Traveler API. Travel time estimates are provided by Google Maps. Historical drain rate estimates are derived from our own observations of publicly available data. When live data is unavailable, the service may display historical estimates which are clearly labeled as such.

The prediction engine, drain rate models, event system, and user interface design are proprietary. The underlying WSDOT ferry data is public.
Make the Ferry is provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make the Ferry and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
